Treuenfels Hunting Safaris is situated in central Namibia, approximately 2 hours drive, in a westerly direction, from the international airport outside Windhoek which is the capital of Namibia.

On the Hunting lodge we have typical Namibian bush savanna, rich in diverse species of bird and wildlife, where one can enjoy peace and tranquility, combined with the rich African sounds and atmosphere.

main farmhouse

Our accommodation is offered in a large farmhouse, with four very comfortable double rooms, with 'en suite' showers and ablution facilities. Our hunting lounge with a variety of African trophies and well equipped bookshelf with books that cover various interesting African topics will provide for interesting time spent there. The Lodge is supplied with 220 volt electricity 24 hours a day.

bedroom

Not to overlook our delectable cuisine with all it's traditional African/ European dishes.

breakfast

There is a large veranda overlooking the waterhole where while relaxing in the fading light of a great African day, one can watch antelope at the water, and listen to the barking of the geckos and the calls of the wild.

At the Hunting lodge we are an experienced, non commercialized, dynamic team who strive to offer all our guests personal attention, with the warm Namibian friendship and openness which compares to our wide open spaces and plains where our game can be seen and photographed or hunted by rifle. With hunts tailor made for every guest, either by stalking or on one of our elevated hides or in blinds.

We offer hunts in a variety of different biospheres, such as the majestic Kudu in riverine forest, the Oryx in bush or open desert plains, Springbok in savanna ranges, Red Hartebeest and the Black and Blue Gnu on their typical savanna ranges, the elusive Eland and Hartmann’s mountain Zebra in their exclusive environment. Or the smaller antelope such as the Duiker or Steenbok, and Warthogs in their mud wallows during the hottest part of the day. Also available is a large variety of different game birds for hunting if the hunters wish.

To crown all the plains game on offer to hunt we have excellent possibilities for cats, such as Leopard and Cheetah or the smaller wildcats can be an even greater challenge.

We have certified Master hunting guides, who are SCI master measurerers.

For hunting we advise at least two days per trophy except Oryx one day would be sufficient, for cat hunting a minimum of 11 hunting days should be planned, in which time other trophies and bait animals can be shot. Bird hunting can be done as well during normal hunts.

Most of our game species are free range game. Ranges can differ from 10,000 hectares to 60,000 hectares (26 843 to 160 000 acres) in private and concession areas.

Groups of hunters (maximum of 8), or hunters and their partners are preferred and welcome, in these cases hunters will be guided 2:1.
Single hunters will be guided 1:1 and are also welcome.

Together with this we can offer a wide range of itineraries, which would include hunting, deep-sea fishing, guided standard tours or tailor made tours for our guests.
Tours would be combined with hunting and a break for a day or two to do rock and surf, or deep sea fishing by boat, to catch Cob, Steenbras or the hard hitting Copper or Cow sharks will get the guest on a well deserved high. Or if so wished a plain sight seeing tour to our quaint coastal town of Swakopmund were European style meets Africa on the Atlantic ocean shores, where the guests can dine on fresh Atlantic seafood’s and shop for African moment’s, or a tour to the 15000 year old bushman paintings or petrified forests, or Etosha nature reserve where Elephant, Rhino and other protected species can be seen and photographed in their unspoilt natural environment.

Tours that we have on hand are:
Etosha: There it is necessary to overnight for 2 or 3 nights.
Swakopmund: Overnight for 1 or 2 nights

Or any tailor made tour required in Namibia

All prices for these tours will be subject to quotation and as normal per person, it is near impossible to offer you a fixed price per person on these itineraries as the more people we have together the cheaper the rates.

The experience we can offer you is one that can only be described as unforgettable and totally African.

We hope that this short run down of Treuenfels will provide you with enough to awaken your interest in an experience that you would want to return to.

Yours truly,

Jürgen Gossow
